For the academic year 2018-2019, the school received sports premium funding of £15583
The school spent £7022.51
The school spent the majority of this money on Premier Sport, who provided PE support in 2019. In addition to tuition time, they also organised our sports day and provided assessments on pupil attainment in PE. A full suite of information regarding the PE provision can be provided on request.
The school successfully achieved the Bronze School Games Award for 2018-2019.
Resources were purchased to supplement our equipment and resources.
Premier Sport will continue to support our PE provision for the academic year 2019-2020. This will build upon and embed the sustainability of our PE vision. Premier Sport will also complement our after school sport provision by running a club once a week.
Assessment of swimming by the end of key stage 2 2018-2019:
80% of our Year 6 pupils could:
swim competently , confidently and proficiently over a distance of at least 25 metres
use a range of strokes effectively, including on their front and back
perform safe self-rescue in different water-based situations
Academic Year 2019-2020
This year the school continues to use Premier Sport to help support the PE tuition in school. In addition to undertaking some teaching commitment, Premier Sport are also offering an after-school club.
