I have the pleasure and the privilege of being the executive headteacher of Tivetshall and Burston Schools, officially taking up the post in January 2019.
I have been a teacher since completing my post graduate studies in 1996, having first undertaken a degree in English Literature. Having worked in a variety of schools in Norfolk and Suffolk, I took on my first headship in 2010, in a small rural primary school. I completed my National Professional Qualification for Headship (NPQH) in the same year and in 2012 was designated a Local Leader of Education.
In recent years I have also been a strategic lead in a teaching school alliance and helped to create and was co-principal of a multi academy trust.
Outside of teaching I have lots to keep me occupied; my wife is also a headteacher and we have 4 daughters and lots of pets. I am an enthusiastic runner (but not a very quick one) and in 2018 completed two marathons in two weeks (London and Geneva). I am also a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts (FRSA).
